More Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000 tidbits
Leaked photo of the blurry Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000
Samsung sure is getting a lot of mileage in the media about their new Galaxy Tab P1000 tablet. We guess that has to do with the excitement surrounding the first slate tablet to (possibly) reach market by a major electronics manufacturer since the iPad. There are a lot of people interested to see how it will match up.
Fortunately the newest batch of rumors have done away with the hideous “Galaxy Tape” name — about which we lamented in our last post on the subject. Engadget has posted rumors from a supposed hands-on tester of the device who goes on to say that the Galaxy Tab has the typical thin and well-built attributes. Some of the juicier details include the fact that the P1000 will features “full phone functionality” via Bluetooth headset. You can also place video calls using the front-facing camera and there’s a 3.2MP camera on the back as well. There’s a whole host of other tidbits which include WiFi and 3G (naturally), SIM slot, tethering via USB or WiFi, removable battery, GPS and that it’s currently running stock Android 2.2.
The rumor confirms the Q3 ship date and matches the previously leaked blurry picture above. Seriously, can we not get our sources better cameras at this point? Check out the rest of the P1000’s previously rumored specs here.
